Northwestern University Campus Walk Late October 2021

Northwestern University campus in Evanston Illinois is one of the most beautiful university campuses I have been to or virtually seen in the world.

Previously, I had visited this campus twice, more from “outside” on Chicago Avenue, Sheridan Rd and University PI. This third time, which happened by chance, I was right “inside” the campus.

Besides being peaceful while walking, I was awed by the serene atmosphere, the politeness of people, and the extraordinarily beautiful buildings, especially the dorms, and the beautiful fountains in the campus lake. Walking on Northwestern University campus, I felt a sense of both belonging and being out of place. I felt I was still a student but I was also aware that my student days were long bygone. I was an outsider now, but in me, there still existed the guy who spent many years in universities seeking truth and identified with academia.
